This happened to me. My first wife and I were at an auction for a house in a relatively high priced area in @ 2004. We were in the barn but there was another bidder outside in his truck bidding against us. It got to 50k which was our limit and all of a sudden he stopped bidding. We won. A man came inside and said that when the guy had heard a young couple were bidding he tapped out. Coolest thing ever.
I v been to 5-6 home actions and a guy bid on his house after foreclosed upon. The auctioneer said it wasn’t illegal, and between a third and half of them go back to the owner this way,
This happened on an episode of Little House on the Prairie. My grandma said they were called penny auctions and they were real. I'm not sure about this particular auction, but I think it's great!
I saw this story ages ago and it was supposed to be in Britain somewhere. I think it's bogus. Note the lack of any date, location, names.
This happened in Cornwall in the UK a few years ago.
Its still a nice story though, despite the US press taking it as one of their own as usual.
That is something t DIVERSITY destroys. Just 1 man could have shattered generations of family tradition
No names, location, etc. it all looks like stock footage.
Not one University of Nebraska hat in the entire crowd???
This is clickbait
The good old Penny Auction!
If everyone did this we would ruin the banks! How beautiful
❤️❤️❤️❤️
That's beautiful. That's love.

That happens every so often. I remember a thread like this last year.
Wow. thought this only happened in movies. Thank God for all the decent people.

Stories like this help me believe in humanity. I hope it still exists
It does... in us.
You just warmed my heart - thank you :)
That's awesome.
