Here's something to consider for those of you that are not religious or on the fence.
🗣️ DISCUSSION 💬
Logically either all religions are either false or only ONE is true since they conflict.
If one is true and the world is being run by evil that is lying to us then that true religion would be disproportionally attacked while false ones would be left alone or encouraged.
I can only think of one religion that is attacked above all others.... Christianity.
If it's being attacked / misrepresented by the people trying to enslave / kill me then it must be a threat to them / their plans.
Ergo you should examine Christianity.
Well, the Jews sure make a good case for being the most persecuted. And there are plenty of posts here on this board that seem to back that up, rhetorically asking why they've been booted from so many countries and all...
Buddhists are not exactly known for persecuting Christians, despite the conflicts.
You're using very material measurements of conflict. Just remember that Christ never preached to Christians.
I just don't think it's a good idea to argue for your religion based on how persecuted or victimized it is. The closer you get to eliminating your competition, the wronger you get.
Well Christianity believes everything that Judaism believes just in the fulfillment of the Messiah and the inspiration of the New testament on top of it.
It's the judeo Christian worldview and the followers thereof that are persecuted.
You obviously don't know your own religion very well. Go read the Talmud and come back.
The Talmud was developed during Babylonian captivity. It's not Biblical and Jesus condemned the Pharisees and Sadducees who followed it.
