Here's something to consider for those of you that are not religious or on the fence.
🗣️ DISCUSSION 💬
Logically either all religions are either false or only ONE is true since they conflict.
If one is true and the world is being run by evil that is lying to us then that true religion would be disproportionally attacked while false ones would be left alone or encouraged.
I can only think of one religion that is attacked above all others.... Christianity.
If it's being attacked / misrepresented by the people trying to enslave / kill me then it must be a threat to them / their plans.
Ergo you should examine Christianity.
The most hated religion is probably Judaism, actually. And maybe for good reason, not because it is the one true religion but because it teaches people to do despicable things. Read the Talmud if you don't believe me.
And your logic is brittle, is it not possible that all the religions have mixtures of truth and falsehood in them? There are as many versions of Christianity as there are Christians. By your logic, only one single Christian has the true religion.
But don't let me interfere with your religious victim complex. You wear it like a crown of thorns.
We are talking about major conflicts like who God is. How you are saved.
The standard is also absolute truth. Objective and unchanging. The kind of standard only the creator of the universe can create and hold to and carry forth throughout time.
You are confusing non-salvific issues or different branches of Christianity. i.e. infant baptism.
Then some uncalled for personal attack. That's a good way to polish off your ignorance.
So who gets to decide which are the "significant" differences? You?
Perhaps you can explain to me why the omnipotent creator of the universe prefers to communicate with humans by having other humans write, translate, and copy books. There are many different versions of the Bible, councils of humans decided which books to include or exclude. Do you not see how this is a ridiculously insecure process for transmitting information from someone who should be able to just pipe it into your head directly? Any one of the those humans involved could have made an error or been malicious and you'd have no way to know. And we know that humans misuse their positions of religious authority all the time. And even if they weren't malicious, language is ambiguous and evolves over time, so two well meaning people can come to different conclusions about the same short text.
If I were God, I'd just talk to people directly instead of playing a huge game of telephone.
