Should the government...

That's never happened in the history of the world with any government. The only way they get smaller is by revolution or collaspe. It's the nature of the beast. The US started as a nearly ideal minarchy. The more freedom, the more wealth. The more wealth, the bigger the government grows on it, like a tick.

What defense beside government do we have against corporate? It is true that the government is bloated far far beyond anywhere it needs to be, but ultimately it is the people's defense against commercial combinations. We have seen the power of corporations in this 2-year-old experiment about covid-19.
Look, the Commies/elite/Cabal will infiltrate anything with power, be it corporations, government big tech etc.
Whichever they choose they will try and tyrannise us. The only solution is constant vigilance and Patriotism.
Sucks that the government allied itself to business against the citizens oh about 6000 years ago.
Rather it be “should the government be able to” but pretty great either way.

I remember when people would say: "Shouldn't the government prevent corporations from getting too big and too powerful?"
And then Republican politicians and voters would say: "Nope!"

If we have laws that keep these corporations accountable to not injuring or taking advantage of people, and laws prohibiting corporations from influencing the government’s decisions, DEMANDING transparency.. Carrying appropriate penalties for both the corporations and the government for doing so… and WE THE PEOPLE understand our RIGHTS and “RESPONSIBILITIES”… and WE THE PEOPLE don’t fall asleep at the wheel again…… The market would regulate itself !! (emphasis purposely put on RESPONSIBILITIES)
Should the government enforce the rights in the Constitution and defend the nation against all enemies foreign and domestic? Yes. Should they do anything else? I can't think of anything.
