Stocks will shrink in stores, no doubt, because every truck is critical right now. They're doing hero work right now, but their other mission critical job goes unattended by whatever number of truckers participate. The catch-22 of it is real. Recommend stocking a few weeks of food, batteries, water and whatever else you could need. Make sure your prescriptions are filled, too.
Game on! God bless all our truckers, fighting right now or not.
I agree and try to stay stocked up as much as possible; plan on another grocery run tomorrow since I have millenial children who aren't as prepared. which has been a bit of an irritant...but that's another story, don't want to doom just to vent for a millisecond as I'm sure others can relate.
My daughter regularly "shops" my kitchen when she drops by. I feel your pain. The struggle is real. LOL!
yep^🤡 it's like they're at a candy store, in awe of all the cans, supplies. good thing they're not picky eaters because I'm shopping cheap tomorrow, lots of rice and beans.
I know, right? LOL! Think I'll start hiding the good stuff. ;)
LOL definitely!! 😁 Our kids come in looking for snacks or leftovers, lol. Our daughter comes in opens frig ... “Mom you don’t have any food!” Well its because we are only cooking for 2 now, so IF we have leftovers we eat them for lunch or dinner the next day. Our son comes in looking for the goodies, lol, and he is very health conscious & fit, so it’s funny he comes in looking for the snacks.
YES! Exactly this! Lol
My husband and I get a little extra each time we go to the store, slowly stocking up because we know damn good and well we will need to supply for the kids also.
Yes, I sure can also my older SIL.
Good post,I'm still stocked from last year, but will inventory and pick up a few things.
Same. Makes me nervous when all the trucks leave their purpose at once. Love what they're doing but fearing the unintended consequences.
Good point, but we have to run the horse we have,no time to find a new one.
I learned last month how important truckers are to getting medication. The interstate was closed for 4 or 5 days and the pharmacy could only give me a few days worth of meds. I was told that if it didn't reopen by the time I ran out, to come back and they'd see if the could give me another day or two. So I cut those few pills in half just in case it was longer than they expected. So, I suggest those who take medications buy a pill cutter just in case.
Same in my area. Lots of empty shelves but I can still shop a bit and get what I want/need. Cut off trucks for more than a week and it's game over though.
I wonder if this is all the DS wants bc they also want to create a supply chain crisis to crash the economy and implement their Reset. Like is gonna help us end the mandatory bullshit but help them with their next step in their plan to screw us again, this time with inflation, unemployment and starvation. No matter what, I fell like we are always the ones getting screwed.
My fear exactly, fren.
