I actually have a friend who adopted embryos and carried them to term. She and her husband both had major issues were they could have their own. But I agree, if you can adopt already born children it would change the world.
In my book, adopting an embryo isn't an issue. It's the people who make 30 babies, keep 1 or 2, and kill the rest. Good on them for doing that. It's also pretty dangerous, it's not naturally supposed to be there, so there have been a plethora of health issues for people who go that route. Again, not saying what they did is bad. They are working to fix the issue. Apparently (heard from wife listening to Ali Stuckey interview about this) there was a woman who carried an embryo that was technically older than her. What are the long term effects from this kind of "playing God?"
I'm with you, but unfortunately most pro lifers have no issue with IVF
IVF is sicker than abortion iMHO
Imagine if every conservative Christian who has to ivf instead adopted, we'd change the world!
But ego and vanity triumph even amongst the "good"
