consistency of something half-way between epoxy that is "half set" and tapioca
Let me guess, that was the only option too? Best in-flight food I had was Alitalia. Full dinner 30 minutes after departure and great coffee, fruit & pastry 45 minutes before landing. Lufthansa nearly as good.
Lufthansa has that weird "dentist's chair" I don't miss.
However, Alitalia and Iberia (Spain) are pretty much "not serious airlines", despite the decent food. Want to get there on time? We'll try. Want your bags to arrive with you? Well, we'll try. Want to actually land at the airport that is on your ticket? Well, we'll try.
No disaagreement on Alitalia level of seriousness, it showed in the cabin crew but I liked that. As far as bag loss & missed flights, flew them for nearly 10 years back & forth to Italy; Milan without mishap. If I had trouble it was on the regional either heading to Ancona or back to Milan. They managed a level of unseriousness waaaay below Alitalia.
I once took a flight from LCY to LIN (a flight I took several times a quarter, for a while there), and we had a near miss due to fog. I think the truth of that is that we almost had a mid-air collision right over the runway. Lol.
So then they decided we're going to MXP. We go there and land. But then are told they don't have a mobile stairway for us to get off the plane. As they say this, the mobile stairway is approaching the plane, and docks. We are informed that we can't exit the plane and that we're all going back to LIN. After waiting about 45 minutes the Italians just stand up and start marching off the plane, and the flight attendant didn't even try to stop them aside from trying to shame them.
Total clown show.
So I left with the Italians. Lol. The fag Brits stayed on the plane. Lol #2.
China Eastern Airlines.
The fish on their flights has the consistency of something half-way between epoxy that is "half set" and tapioca that is past its sell-by date.
"We need to find someone who can fly the plane who didn't have the fish for dinner."

Both are good (not great).
