Are you saying the enemy is visiting our forum and then writing an article about how we're unfairly portraying them?

Do you really think there's someone out there who is saying, "Well, I was going to switch sides and start supporting truckers, but I found an anonymous forum where someone said something false about gofundme, so I change my mind I'm not doing that now.

Nobody gives a shit who "Ezra" is. Anons are the news. Anons get painted as the most crazy idiots in the world because people like "Ezra" are elevated in the community, instead of the information they share.
Ironic that you're here apologizing on Ezra's PR blunder while simultaneously scolding us for not holding the highest standards of sharing true information.

I value reddit-like forums like this specifically because of how frequently misinformation gets debunked. The way we treat comments equally instead of prioritizing accounts with more "followers" makes it possible for a random person with specific knowledge to have their voice heard when it counts. This site's credibility doesn't come from being right about everything, but by having a system that's better at finding the truth than others.

This post was simply about helping correct a falsehood out there, which was based on someone (read: Ezra) jumping to conclusions, and that incorrect assumption being shared likely because it would have been a good example of The Left doing evil.
Normies that folks here like to try to wake up.
One of the core goals folks here at GAW seems to be this thing called "the great awakening", where people are waking people up.
Sorting through fact and fiction is part of that idea.
If you cannot see any potential issue with not seeking truth, and trying not to spread incorrect information, then that's on you.
I'm not a fan of GoFundMe, generally like Ezra, and have been here on GreatAwakening for over a year (with more posts than you, it seems).
If you want to keep on reading falsely into my intentions, then go ahead.
