I think the main difference (# 5, cranial forehead area) is something that plastic surgery cannot change. The outlines of the skull seen on the left is very different from the one on the right. Look again at the GIF file and try to focus on the outlines of the skull you can see beneath the skin on the forehead.
It would be a very dangerous operation, and could affect cognitive abilities. The frontal cortex is a very important part of the brain, so no, they wouldn't mess with that just for plastic surgery. The more I look at the two images (especially the frontal cranial outlines of the skull) the more convinced I am that it's two different men.
I'm also convinced that they're two different people based on that too. There were also likely two actors with different color eyes - one with brown, the other with blue. Now all we need is one with green or violet covered eyes and it would be confirmed.

I don't believe anybody would have part of the skull ground down for vanity, as it would make it weaker.
