Wow, does the propaganda in the astronomy and basic sciences world really get this bad? Poor flat earthers!

Proof it, MadDad. It is easy enough. It is very practical, and it saves you the trouble of arguing points that can easily be dispelled for reasons you have not thought of.
So, instead of empty gestures, I want to see you guys proof 500 years of marine navigation and circumnavigation wrong, by showing us that you cannot reach Buenaventura, Colombia from Auckland NZ.
I made this challenge 1.7 years ago. And repeated them a couple of months ago, when FE came up. And I have repeated it again here.
It seems the FE community has a lot of brave souls, but none who dare to place their skin in the game like the intrepid explorers like Abel Tasman, or Laura Dekker.

Here are the details: When consulting a traditional Flat earth map, and I am going to go with this one:
https://chizzlewit.files.wordpress.com/2014/04/flat-earth-map-1.jpg
It clearly shows how to navigate from Auckland, New Zealand, to the rugged coast of Chili,Prta Isabel, located on the Darwin Canal, or to the Colombian Coast near Buenaventura (about same longitude)
According to navionics, to sail both these destinations:
Prta Isabel: Distance: 4923 miles. Heading 97 degrees on the compass.
Buenaventura Columbia: 7322 miles, Heading 68 degrees on the compass.
In both cases no, course alterations have to be made, except for maybe an Island or two.
In your flat Earth representation, for the shortest route, I would have to go North -easterly 41 on the compass and it would take several alterations in course to reach destination by default. The route, in both cases, is to go all the way up to California, en than down south to either Chili or Colombia. I would say, at least double the distance.
As an alternative, it is possible to maintain a easterly course along the 33 parallel South, and I would then end up in Ptra Isabel, however, the distance is at least double the distance as calculated by Navionics.
I'd dare you to take a boat and test your FE hypothesis and take that trip. I would be interested in knowing your heading and distance covered.
Oke, I' ll come on, man! I' ll give you a break. No math. That is raycists, anyway. And science, well, yeah, ... the gory days have come.
Tell me fren, what do you see if you look with open eyes at the International Maritime Organization Logo?

or the International Civil Aviation Logo?

or the World Health Organization Logo?

The truth is "hiding" in plain sight. Here is an 8 hour video documentation that has already been referenced in this thread:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=2_1GYtoLj2o
Yes, it is a long video, but it is divided into parts. Flat Earth is an important part of the video, but there are several other intertwined topics (like child trafficking and torture which is very key to the Q mission to put an end to). I thought I was informed. After watching this I was humbled and I think I have a much better understanding of Q and what is happening in the world today. Just one tidbit from the video, I never knew the Big Bang Theory can be traced back to at least 1300 B.C. That's barely scratching the surface of the many thoroughly documented topics presented.
One last thing. If you would watch this video ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DY-wKIK1vW8
... especially experiment #6 that starts at the 23:10 mark and experiment #9 that starts at the 32:50 mark. Look at the uncut continuous zoom in and out in those two experiments. What do our own eyes show us when viewing the ships zoomed in vs. zoomed out? That is far beyond possible on a sphere of the diameter we are told we live on.
All Earth Curve calculators on the web will return results within a very small margin of error, and those that use 8 inches of drop per mile squared are accurate for any realistic purposes. If you want to reference an absolutely precise calculator I recommend this site which is based on the precise Pythagorean theorem:
https://dizzib.github.io/earth/curve-calc/?d0=30&h0=10&unit=imperial
The source code of that site's calculations (from M.I.T.) is viewable by clicking on a link on the site, but here it is directly:

I once thought very much like the views you have expressed in your comments. I'm hoping you will consider looking into the things I've posted here.
Sincerely wishing you all the best.
I thank you for your sincerity. As you will probably must have come to suspect, this is not the first time I have been engaged in this subject. I was researching this back in 2015 quite extensively. Checking everything. For your information, I am quite open to different worldviews, in terms of academic interest on the one hand, but most especially to actually trying to learn about the reality of our being.
This leaves me very practical solutions, as theorems and abstract calculations are hardly the things life is made of. They need to be tested in real life.
So, instead of being trapped into one sincerely held belief or the other, I' d like to approach it from a practical point of view. Proof it! It is easy enough. Heading and distance and there are at least 3 ways that function as controls.
I laid down the challenge from a practical point of view. It is easy to repeat, for anyone with his own keel can testify to it.
Maybe you EF dudes can join forces and funds and really get a real life test of the ground.
I just would not expect schrodingers cat to be of issue here, but you never know for sure until you try, is it not?
I don’t need to take a boat. I know the truth. Use your own awareness.
This sounds like a wet fart and smells just the same. My challenge stands without takers. What a yellow belly bunch.
How about you take a balloon up to 100k feet and show me a curve without a fisheye lens. You can’t. Yellow belly ding dong
Repeat ad nauseam:
Proof it, MadDad. It is easy enough. It is very practical, and it saves you the trouble of arguing points that can easily be dispelled for reasons you have not thought of.
