I'd rather it was actually substantiated.
For all I can tell, this entire thing is based on a single Tweet by some random person named Larry.
We've seen no evidence to support this rumor, no video of police returning a single Jerry can... or we'd be memeing the shit out of that video.
And the other video of people with lots of Jerry cans is from before the police started confiscating fuel.
I've been watching lifestreams from citizen journalists walking the streets of Ottawa all day and not a single mention of police returning Jerry cans was made by anyone.
Take it with a pinch of salt.
This is the third post I've seen based on the same video. Take it with a truck full of salt.
Well you can hear the trucks honking in the background, so the video is from before Monday. The gas was stolen on Sunday night.
My money is on Fake News.

Do our mods even look at this stuff or verify before pinning?
I love our mods, but seriously....
They probably dont always vet posts if its posted by a frequent and known poster.
It's a shame because having fake news stickied to the front page makes our entire truther / research community look bad.
Agreed, especially when the same video made the rounds yesterday in the same fashion
Yeah but unless this website becomes a publisher there will always be fake news in our midst.
they are on a roll tonight, pinning posts about juan o'savin etc, somethings up.
Just listen to all those beautiful horns:🥳

When was the ban on honking put in place?
When was the gas stolen?
Do the math.
Whether the headline is true or not (I have my doubts), I don't think this video shows fuel cans returned by police. When the cops seized the fuel, there was a plea for people to show up en masse with fresh jerrycans. I feel like the video is showing the result of that. Even the camerman's commentary leads me to believe this, otherwise I feel he would have mentioned the police in the video. He seems to be acting grateful for the showing of support as opposed to reveling in a victory over the police.
One judge bans hoonking and another orders police to return the fuel? Seems unlikely to me but time will tell. Lots of misformation out there, on both sides.
