I have heard many teachers blab “my kids” out of their mouth more times than I can count and many times they don’t have actual children of their own or even a significant other. It’s insane. This is reason 1,700 why Kamala stinks, she’s never birthed and raised a child. Tons of respect to all the moms!
As a retired teacher, I will stand by the phrase often used by teachers as "my kids". Let me explain. When your children are in my/our care for the school day, most of us DO feel protective of the students in our class. We don't tend to "like" it when another teacher oversteps to correct one "my students". I have always felt like the kids in my charge were mine to teach, love, and protect while at school. Now, in full disclosure, I did not teach in the public school. I spent my 42 years in a Parochial school, so there is a very big difference. My school was smaller (300) so we were more like a big family. That was one of the things parents often cited as a plus for them. They knew us and we knew them. Most teachers in my school were on staff for 10+ years (we had NO tenure), so things flowed pretty well. LOL Now of course we DID have a parent now and then who reminded us they pay our salary ( via tuition). I admit I cringe with the new/younger crop of teachers in our schools today, and I'm thankful my own kids are grown. I do worry a lot about my grandchildren. LOL ...and don't think I don't "quiz" them over "little" things going on at their schools.
I feel like a few examples of various religiously oriented schools have popped up doing this.
Also, that said, some very degenerate people also come out of religious schooling. Seems to be a fine line between repressing natural sexual growth and fostering it; one side tries too hard to stop it, leading to an explosion of degeneracy, and the other side tries too hard to push it forward, leading to an explosion of even worse degeneracy.
The line is not straddled; it is either one side or another nowadays. Quite different from when I was in school, I guess, where I only learned about the functions of the body. Did not go to college, however; former acquaintances who did seems to be extremely degenerate and pretty awful people.
Basically schooling kind of needs an overhaul. We need people to look at it together, with parental oversight, to strip out staff and board political biases, get back to a better curriculum, remove the social justice crap, kill the shit like sexual positions, encouragement of masturbation, having sex with each other repeatedly and without discernment on who, etc. and get back to a schooling based simply in facts.
2+2 equals 4, America is the best, no one cares what you look like and if they do you shouldn't care about them.
Don't know why we allowed these schools to get so far from where they're supposed to be.
My ex wife is a nut job in general, but she's a good school teacher. Not a liberal. She never referred to them as "my kids". Just "my class" or "the kids in my class". Or even "my students".

Yes, but the problem now is that these people feel the same way as you did then, and are teaching "their kids" about oral.
It's a different time. I'm assuming you didn't make them call you "mix" so and so.
LOL No, I taught them HOW to use pronouns properly. I did get called "mommy, and grandma" lots of times over the years.
