Great, but every time someone calls it "GAIN OF FUNCTION" the urge to slap is overpowering.

"GAIN OF FUNCTION" IS THOUGHT CONTROL VIA WORD MANIPULATION.

Like the slick term "Hillary's private email server." Avg person also likes to keep their emails private. So "PRIVATE EMAIL SERVER" sounds like a GOOD thing, not the horrendous crime of treason.

Similarly, to the avg person, "GAIN OF FUNCTION" sounds like a GOOD thing, not the horrendous crime against humanity that it is. They hear it and feel nothing. If I have a tool and reshape it so it gains more functions, that's a GOOD thing.

If you called it what it is, something like "INTENTIONALLY MAKING VIRUSES MORE DEADLY AND MORE SPREADABLE" they would say HEY! What the fuck are you doing, you mass murderers?!?!? For what legitimate purpose could you EVER think of doing such a thing, let alone lobby HARD to get President Trump's blockade of funding for it overturned??!?!
