The clone is a separate entity, no? I don't feel right killing a living being that wasn't involved, unless the clone's essence is the very same. Strange philosophical conundrum.

One would have to investigate the reasoning behind having a clone. If it is a White Hat operation, then perhaps hanging the clone is not the right choice.
