I worked in the FDA in the CBER branch, center for biologics. We had a Solaris system for documents, before PDF, and Oracle database for the biologics. It was nice because you can get information on upcoming approvals and refer to your friends on what stocks to buy. There's no way to stop this, only government employees have this luxury, although I never took advantage of it.
