It's hard to find good details as most reporting on this is anti-Bundy/liberty, but in general the Federal gov't has been vastly restricting grazing and snatching up land to convert to "wildlife refuges" or whatever else at an alarming rate. I think in the Bundy case they didn't actually take land but rather restricted grazing where it had been allowed. But they are doing this anti-rancher shit from all angles. I'm pretty sure there's a ranch in OR that is battling to stay in operation as all those around it have eventually been squeezed out then taken over by the BLM or whatnot.
I don't know exactly what "that stolen land was part of the deal too" refers to so hopefully we get a reply on that part....
