Number 4 is the most important one. Many refuse to have 1 on 1 conversations because they're wussies. When I do manage to get one to have a chat, they shut the f*ck up. And when they look at me without my mask, I stare back. They're the first to look away. Each and every time.
These peoples' validation comes from numbers, and not any that matter. Not data, not science, but from group mentality. When it becomes apparent they are not the majority, they back tf up.
#4 is so true. I ran into a former coworker I hadnt seen in a few years in the parking lot of a grocery store the other day and we were catching up and laughing.
A masked woman heading toward the store suddenly veered off course in our direction, thinking my friend must know her and she was coming to talk to him, I smiled and said hello. She ripped her mask off and went on a screaming tirade that we werent six feet apart and unmasked. I kindly said "Karen, Karen, you need to calm down, I am worried about you." She stopped screeching and looked at me and said "Do I know you?" I said "no, but I know you." And she said "well you know my name" and I couldnt help but laugh and agreed that yes I guess I knew her name. For whatever reason she just as suddenly walked away. Even funnier was when my buddy asked me how I knew her name was Karen! It was the weirdest thing - it is a bizarro world.
Hey man. I'd love to hear it. Typically, my stories go like this. They're irate about my position on the jab. Then, I go on a fcking full on microbiology lecture replete with numbers and citations. Only medical journals from the NlH and what not, because common sense isn't so common. They realize I actually know what I'm talking about before going home to hopefully re-evaluate their entire life. I figure that's what they do when they realize all their talking points have been, effectively, countered.
Do not back down from these individuals. Stand up. But peacefully. The moment you lose it, the moment all your points get ignored, because now you appeal to their confirmation bias about "alt-right fascistic neonazis white supremacist", regardless of what ethnicity, political ideology, or cultural background you're actually from.
Most annoying thing about these people is they only need one point you can't fully counter to think in their mind they "won", because winning is what matters to them - not truth. If there's a single point you can't disprove using articles they approve of, your point in their mind is moot. But that's why you go for 110%, not 99%.
I remember Rush saying for years that at some point, Libs would go after (and attempt to control)voting, as they are the minority, and know they can't win on the issues. To me, 2020 was the ultimate validation of this point.
I miss Rush. I didn't always agree with him, but his casual political incorrectness ("infobabe") and his sense of humor were entertaining and comforting at the same time. Losing Rush still feels like losing a member of my family. RIP Rush, God called that talent home!
This is all good stuff but unfortunately Rush was an establishment level Alex Jones. Talks a good game but someone like Rush really KNOWS the truth.
Dude was all in for Mitt Romney and Made fun of Ron Paul.
There is a lot to criticize about Rush, he put a lot out there to criticize. Making fun of Ron Paul was unnecessary, he never had a chance to win the Republican nomination.
But if Rush never existed, would there have been enough of a Republican Party left for Donald Trump to takeover and rebrand as MAGA?
Kind of thinking it would have become a permanent minority party, by design, at the end of Herbert Walker’s disastrous term.

Happened to me 3 days ago. I'll spare the story. Dude got up, left his beverage, went home.

LOL, full microbiology lecture. This is me exactly. Actual research (us) vs headline research (them).
Haha yeah, exactly. They read the title before the complacency about being "right" gets to them.
Excellent analysis, thanks fren!

Me too, I so wish he were here to talk about all the winning we are doing with Durham and Canada Truckers, etc.
Rush was a blessing.
