Nah bud, Durham is like a sword of damocles hanging over the head of the DS. If they where capable of ending the investigation at the expense of some bad publicity they would do it immediately, and their lefty goons on reddit would cheer.

To save their own asses, I have a hard time believing they're even concerned about optics anymore. They could just as easily shut it down and gaslight everyone like they do everything else. Their only hopes for midterm election without closing the investigation would be massive fraud and/or subversion via GOPe. What's there to lose?
