I did hear a rumour that the initial research into certain viruses started at Fort Detrick. It was just moved to China when the legality got a bit iffy. Standard deep state practice: Initial work in US at taxpayer expense. Phase 2: Move overseas, into the private sector if possible, to thwart subsequent inquiries. Change the name of the project along the way.

But if you got hit with aerosolized rabies… how would you know? Your symptoms would start in a couple weeks and it would be too late. This sounds like the sort of thing we should not be developing. There is zero useful purpose for it. We could study how to cure rabies post-symptoms without developing a bioweapon.
