Disagreement does not equal 'hate'. I don't hate these people.
I hate their agenda. I hate their hypocrisy. I hate their closed-minded and nasty activists. They can't just leave well enough alone once they've achieved it. They have to push and push and punish everyone else.
Wish these people would figure that out and just go live their lives without injecting this and forcing this issue everywhere.
Your definition of "tolerance" does not equal their definition of "tolerance". In order to push their agenda non support has to equal intolerance. I agree with OP, we should have a super straight flag.
Not only does disagreement not equal hate -- their notion that suppression "shuts down the hate" is so far off base it's not even funny. That's not going to change minds.
I hate the LGBTQWTFBBQ movement. Why?
Because the flags a city should be flying are its flag, state flag and country flag. There's no room for politics in it.
I hate the WTFBBQ movement because it tries to (selectively) to pull everyone under its umbrella.
Have a problem with a cross dresser? Suddenly you hate all gays. Don't believe that you should normalize hating yourself and changing yourself to suit a bogus image placed into your head by others? You hate everyone under that umbrella.
I have a lot of gay friends. Male and female. Bi ones too. A few transgendered ones. Not one of them seems to give a shit about any of this. Not one uses Twitter. Not one has benefitted from the LGBTQWTFBBQ movement.
But they certainly have been negatively impacted by it due to the oppressionist approach they take to any form of criticism. They can see the division being sown more and more over time.

It does for them, but not for us.

Thanks a lot! I read "LGBTQWTFBBQ", and worked out what it meant. Scared my cat of my lap with my eruption of laughter!
Very weird, especially when they're also using a message if "always accept yourself" and "never change for anyone".
Amen to what you said!!!
