I'm not the best at searching, so I can use your help. My husband passed away mid-January (covid) and left modest wealth in savings, deferred comp and life insurance. I've been meeting with various investment people - none of whom impressed me. My primary concern is protecting it for my adult son. I know the old saw about crypto and gold, but I don't know enough about either to feel confident that they're a good choice. So I'm wondering what Q has to say

No matter what anyone says stay away from crypto. It is digital money the same as in the bank and can disappear just like that. Those people who keep trying to talk everyone into getting crypto really irritate me with their disinformation. Gold and Silver will always retain their value and should be the only thing you get. You didnt say where you are or whether you work or not but if you can afford it buy a piece of property with cash and plant your own vegetables etc. Put the rest into gold and silver. If you live in a city you are doomed no matter what you do.
"Doomed" really?
I don't think so! Nothing is impossible for the Creator of Heaven, Earth, Time, & Space
Absolute horse shit. You can actually buy goods with crypto. You can't with gold. It's merely a sound hedge against doom. El Salvador is now using bitcoin as official tinder. Giving the people there greater opportunity beyond their terribly weak fiat currency. Crypto is one of our best tools against the banking families. Our primary enemy in this war.... It's far from perfect but for fuck sake get your shit straight and stop lambasting one of the few financial tools we have to circumvent the encroaching enforcement of central bank digital currency.
I travel a LOT and Ive never been anywhere that accepted crypto as payment. In or out of this country.
Crypto is the biggest ponzi scheme in human history imo.
A communist chinese invention that has suckered the world for hundreds of billions. And at a massive energy cost no less.
It was supposed to be safe and anonymous, but neither are true. Accounts have been hacked for billions repeatedly. Wallets have been hacked and its all tracked. You can track transactions like any other. Its a scam.
Crypto debit cards are super easy to get so basically you can buy anything and everything with it. Ofcourae at that point you are loosing privacy but you can just send small amounts you need to the card withou anyone knowing how much you rly own
Crypto ATMs are a thing, you can just withdraw what you need
LOTS if not majority of big online shops / services now support direct crypto payment
There are MANY options how you can spend crypto if you want..
Regardimg security, wallets are completely safe if you spend hour or two researching how to store crypto safely
Regarding tracking, you are correct that if you buy crypto via credit card o any exchange, it gets tracked all the way even if u send the coins from the exchange. To be anonymous buy locally from a person/miner via services like localbitcoin or use crypto ATM without KYC. Also dont use mobile / browser wallets as the main storage
A couple of hefty claims there bud.
An EMP can wipe out everything. Physical currency won't be affected.
obviously you're not familiar with hardware wallets.
Well said! I’ve just posted a video from Lynette Zang to ChristineAnne - it should be posted on board as a post to all and I shall try to do that later.
