The times don’t change once they’re opened, so a screengrab proves nothing. It only proves that the topic window had been open for X minutes at the time they were opened. It does not prove that both windows were opened at the same time.
You can get a better measure by mousing over the time in the GAW thread, mousing over the time in the Reddit thread, doing a time zone conversion, and then subtracting.
I got a little over 3.5 minutes when I compared it this way (if I recall correctly, so feel free to double-check) which is plenty of time to read it, screenshot it, and post it to Reddit. People sorting by new would have seen it quickly, and I think most people visiting here sort by new.
That being said, even that time difference isn’t certain, because I don’t know that Reddit uses precisely the same clock as the communities.win websites. If the clocks aren’t exactly the same, then the time difference could be shorter or longer.
The fact is that the screenshot can’t prove both windows were opened at exactly the same time (which, when we’re talking about a difference of only two minutes, is a necessary guarantee).
And I can’t definitely prove the clocks between GAW and Reddit are consistent, but at least you can verify the times empirically on your own this way and don’t have to take my word for it.
But 3.5 minutes is all the hard evidence I have that can be verified by you guys. Anything less than that is me just taking u/Zeitreise at his word, and I really can’t make mod decisions based on taking people at their word.
If there is hard evidence that proves a time different than the 3.5 minutes established by the Reddit and GAW posting signatures, I have not seen it.
Mouse over the word "hour" to see when the post was made to the second. You'll see this: 22:42:14 GMT. For those who don't do military time, that's 10:42 and 14 seconds PM, GMT time. If you have a different time zone, then use a converter.
Now, mouse over the word "hour" to see when the post was made to the second. You'll see this: 22:45:42 UTC. For those who don't do military time, that's 10:45 and 42 seconds PM, UTC time. UTC is the same time zone as GMT.
Since the time zones are the same, we can just subtract the time.
According to the data you provided, there was a difference of 3 minutes and 28 seconds between the GAW post and the Reddit post.
Which is... exactly what I already said. I may have said it was a few seconds over 3.5 minutes, but your sources in no way contest anything I've said here.
The Reddit screenshot show that it was made when the GAW post had been up for two minutes ("2 minutes ago"). So that means 1.5 minutes to press a screenshot button, to open a Reddit app, and to click "upload."
So... yeah. The short time difference was suspicious. But I can see the time difference as 3.5 minutes by the source you provided.
I didn't see any obvious similarities between the posting styles between the accounts despite looking for about half an hour. I didn't see anything in either account that was suspicious for the type of account they were holding.
I didn't see how the daily investment u/Oasis5150 has in the GAW account over the last month could possibly be worth a single uninteresting Reddit screenshot.
It's certainly not a compelling case when the single piece of evidence you have is an explainably short difference in the posting times and an unwavering belief that real Q people will not get frustrated enough to post like Oasis did. I don't ban people based on your hunches and an exaggeration that is disproved by the very source you offered.
Which you've done before.
I'm not taking further actions based on your hunches. I investigated, I spoke with the user, I dug through post histories, I established my rationale using hard numbers provided by YOUR sources.
And all this in the interest of GAW, since Reddit certainly wouldn't have been harmed by any of this.
I've done more than my part. As I always seem to do when interacting with you.
Nope. Not buying it. You can see the time differential in the screen grab.

So, you've just provided a source that shows exactly what I was trying to explain, just more conveniently. Thank you.
