For instance, if I want to include an image file named '1844 Sphinx photo' saved on my own computer, would I attach it here in a reply by doing this: u/ #1844 Sphinx photo?

If I am making an original post, I see where and how to add an image.
But, if I am simply replying to someone's comment and want to add an image from my file, how do I do it?
The instructions are there on the side bar… scroll down to where it says “Resources” > GIFS and QPosts. Several folks posted the link already.

Ahhh ok I get it now.
Unfortunately you can’t post images within replies at the moment.
Formatting is quite limited here (which may not be a bad thing actually).
