It would be against protocol if Pence was VP (although multiple POTUS have broken protocol often... technically they should be saluting while in civilian dress, but as I said, it's broken all the time). Now, suspend disbelief for a minute and consider my theory about the 25th and Pence... if Pence was actually acting POTUS at that moment, then there would not be any break in protocol since he'd be Trump's superior, at that moment. There's also the possibility that our government has been under the control of the military since 2016... perhaps Trump was saluting whatever "general" is running the show? Of course, this theory would require FAR more secrecy and quasi legal maneuvering than my Pence/25th theory...
Yes, whoever was on the chopper was on it before it got to the WH. Could have gotten on at the hospital, or even before that, before it flew to the hospital... it was definitely a man in a suit from what we could see in the video Norman had posted
but there were several live broadcasts of Trump during the time he was in Walter Reed / Bethesda hospital where he presented as President and it appeared clear that he was carrying out his duties as President, taking the daily brief, meeting with key officials, etc.
there was no public statement before or after (which has been practice in the past) of the duties of the president temporarily being transferred to the the VP.
as far as we know trump was never unconscious (anesthetized, for example, for surgery) and never in any condition of being in danger of being unconscious which has historically been the reason for the transfer.
i, like norman, can not answer the enigma of this incident...
it fits no known protocol, which as i think about, is normal for the abnormal times we are living

here's a point... helo captain and copilot would have at a minimum seen the individual if not known who it is. if U/I individual is in the Q chain of command, these marines would be Q cleared at some level to assure they did not reveal the identity of U/I/
