TB still does exist naturally out there, including the drug resistant kind. I've had to have TB tests before I could take some sorts of medicine. As others on here mentioned, it's supposedly more prevalent than covid. Lots of people moving around in groups like refugee groups can cause the spread of communicable illnesses. TB used to be a huge problem all over the world before the meds to fight it were developed. But like other illnesses, there's versions that are resistant to treatment with the typical meds, so things go back to how widespread TB was even like 100 years ago.
