πππ DuckDuckGo's far-left political donations and abuse of user data has been going on since 2019. (Excellent red-pill videos in the link.)

What are some alternatives for people to use ?
Qwant.com Yandex.ru
Thank you
Is there a option to have yandex in English?
yes
No idea. I use English in the search bar and it works.
Brave search and browser
Did you see comment above:
People tried to spread the word when tim.pool was pushing brave browser and how it wasn't any safer than Alphabet's warez. Yet here we are.
I think that u/muhqtardtho is saying Brave is not better than DDG.
Can you show me how it's not safer? Not trying to be snarky. Genuinely curious. Brave uses its own index for searches and blocks ads and trackers and doesn't create a user profile of you. As for the Chromium bit:
https://brave.com/privacy-features/
So they claim they've taken the best parts of google search engine, made it their own and don't rely on google in any way. Of course this is what they claim. I get it if you're skeptical of any search engine, regardless of what they say. Google is still the superior search engine, but Brave seems like the best alternative I've come across. Just my two cents!
Did you see this. I might give Brave a try:

Nicely write up fren, but I know nothing about Brave. All I was doing was passing on a comment someone else had made.
It sounds like you've done a moderate amount of research into Brave, and that a good thing.
Maybe make a post asking for input from the community.
Watch the videos. They are full of good information, including the answer to your question.
Maybe I'm stupid but I did not get a whole lot out of either video.
From the first video I learned that despite DDG's no-tracking claim that they install two cookies which may in fact be tracking out searches and usage.
Via the second video, I heard that the two alternatives might be qwant.com and startpage.com. I have switched back to startpage.com that I was on before started using DDG.
The yippy.com url does nothing but take me to DDG. I even typed in search box, yippy search engine and see the link "yippy.com", but when I press it, it takes me to DDG. I even uninstalled DDG Privacy Essentials and reset home page to yippy.com. Still same issue.
Are you able to get to yippy.com?
Update: Wikipedia says:

Did you try Qwant? I didn't see any of your responses about that one.
