I just got the weekly email from my bible study group and as usual it said to "keep praying for Ukraine". I mean, all these women mean well and I'm to the point where I just look around the room at these women and wonder where their prayers are going? I once read, in one of those NDE books I believe, that angels carry our prayers into the throne room and place them in bowls. Is there a big bowl off in the corner like everyone's kitchen junk drawer? A sort of holding area for all the misguided and misplaced prayers that God will eventually clean out on a rainy day and put everything in the correct bowls?
That’s the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard. Bowls in heaven full of prayers. Please. People are so confused about God and prayers. As if he can’t hear them all at once, and he can’t answer them all at once because he’s limited right… So he puts them in bowls to he has time to get to them. I feel like we’re watching a episode of Jim Carrey in that movie where he becomes God. I don’t know the name of it.
In my view, when the bible talks about Satan controlling this world, it means that the people attracted to power are the ones of lower moral standards. When I explain this to my kids, what I say is that "power is for the one willing to stoop lowest to grab it". There are a lot of reasons for that, partially because that is their punishment, since they get to deal with all the bullshit and having to live knowing they may get whacked. Part of it is that if you have a highly moral weakling running the show, it doesn't turn out well.
At the end of the day, of zelensky, putin and biden... well jesus may say they deserve your prayers and maybe they do. I would say that the average Ukrainian and Russian caught up in this nonsense certainly do, so pray for them if you struggle with praying for the Ukraine.
As for the bowls and theology and stuff like that, well they certainly talk about it in revelations. Yet I'm probably not what most Christians would call a Christian so my interpretation would probably differ from those in your church group. I can say that analogies and symbolism is often used to communicate in the bible however.
Our enemy is the people who want us to think our enemy is Russia.

Wow. Someone's sense of humor got put in the wrong bowl?

This belongs in a book.
Not sure if you intended this or if it really is just your natural thought or voice but it reads like a female Hemingway.
May steal this and meme it
People who have an age-old grudge against Russia.
