I'm convinced that some people will just believe what they feel, no matter what. It's hard watching friends and family be constantly lied to and strung along by all those idiots out there. I just want to shake them and tell them to seriously sit down and look at things objectively, and think for two seconds. It really isn't the hard to figure out, they just need to look at what people have been telling them and see if any of it has come true. Just infuriating, but I guess that's human nature.
"some people will just believe what they feel" - I'd say "most" and Ayn Rand referred to this as subjectivism (vs her philosophy of Objectivism), the flavor of which currently is postmodernism.
It's not human nature - it's indoctrination against it. It's why benevolence is dead among the general population.
It's a tough nut to crack when a bad/anti philosophy has absolutely pervaded culture and is implicitly ingrained in people's minds. They would have to learn an alternative and consciously reject the bad ideas - and consistently apply the new ones.

Can we fight it with simply truth, or do we have to use the principles of indoctrination to help people believe what is right?

They won't accept that the government is deliberately trying to kill them.
Where have you been for the last two years? It sounds like a nice place.
