Your question betrays a lack of understanding about the Catholic Church. The 'membership' has no say in the leadership. That is not how this church was set up (a little less than 2000 years ago).
But before you say 'it is silly that the membership has no say in it's leadership', please realize that it is not always a 'benefit' that the 'membership' can 'vote out' a minister/leader. What happens if that minister/leader is preaching a difficult truth about our responsibilities, and the 'membership' doesn't want to hear it? In that case, the truth is 'voted out'. Unfortunately, that happens far too often in (some) other churches.
We live in a fallen world, and there is no perfect way to organize a church made up of fallen men. The best we can hope for is that God will bestow his grace upon us, as we all remain individually accountable for our thoughts, our actions, and how we treat each other.
God bless.
Actually, you don't need to organize ANY church. Yashua never used the word "church" or told people to set them up. The word for church in ancient Greek is "ekklesia". Yashua used it twice and he used it to mean his followers, people who believed in him, not buildings and organizations. When he wanted to go to church, he went to the synagogue, like all the other Jews.
Jesus did not sit in church either. He taught. He stirred up controversy and showed the people who the leaders really were.
The Bible never uses the word 'trinity' either. (Or several other words that I bet you use regularly.)
And regarding 'setting up a physical house of worship', God goes into extraordinary detail about how important it is to have a meeting place to worship. There are several chapters dedicated to it's purpose and construction. Read the whole Bible.
I understand that on paper the membership of the Catholic church has no say in their leadership. But they could at the least stand up in huge numbers and protest the endless parade of demonic leadership instead of just behaving like sheep and doing what the demons tell them. Has that ever happened once in 2000 years?
As a last resort, they could leave the church en masse. That has never happened either.
I assume you are not accusing me of supporting the Catholic church, as I don't and never have. Satan took control of the church leadership the day it was founded and has pulled their strings ever since.
I am sorry for the horrible things you have apparently suffered through, you will be in my prayers.
Not at all, I was adding to your thinking... the last bit was aimed towards the "blindly faithful" that will attack me because I speak against their emptiness
And thank you for the prayers, I need them ❤️
If 'Satan took control of the church from day one', then you better throw away your Bible. The canon of the Bible was decided upon by the Church.
Or do you think that Jesus 'dropped a copy' from the clouds as he ascended into heaven?
This needs to happen, otherwise you are enabling evil.
