not hundreds. there is a ratio available, I don’t know it, but without engines you don’t get very far.
Rule of thumb for a large plane like a 737 is about 2 miles per thousand feet if it is not turning. So from FL300, around 60 miles. But the speed would need to be constant. Somewhere between 200 - 300 knots. This was a completely uncontrolled crash.
Yeah I get that. Looks like they pushed the stick forward then took a nap.
But you'd stay in the air at 30,00 feet for more than 3 min as depicted by this graph, right....
