Hmmm. Just done a rough calc in my brain, and it had somewhere in the region of a 6000'ft per min drop, maybe slightly less but not by much. That's a lot for a 737. Notice the airspeed only drops slightly from around 440kts.
Obviously this isn't precise data, but a mere indication. That thing fell out the sky but without accelerating much.
A bomb would have turned the avionics off, no more registering air speed
As would regular equipment or transponder failure to relay that data. There plane wouldn't need to be shot or even damaged at all except for a fried relay or something, especially since the speed seems to stay exactly the same. It's not possible to be involved in such a steep drop in altitude without the speed of the craft shifting a fair amount as well.
