California has more patriots than any other state. Their population is the highest in the country and California bleeds red, white, and blue when you leave the coastal cities and bay area. California is far from gone and should be protected at all costs.
It's kind of sad to see many of the more Rural/affordable areas are starting to be filled up with track housing and 'residents' from the big city areas selling out and changing the culture and property values everywhere.
I see myself eventually moving to a nowhere little town in California or having to set down roots in an adjacent state. Either way with compulsory 'vax' I'll make it as difficult for them as possible.
Maybe California will be an example of what not to do when setting up the future.
Have you given any thought on how to takle the homeless crisis? I think about it a lot. It is so far out of control and geographicly spread out, do you create force (probably not the best word) to go into encampments to offer a solution? Whether that would be drug rehab for those who need it or a job skills program with placement to those down on their luck and just want to get back to work. Either way, it would require housing to get people back into working society. Do you use law enforcement? National Guard? There is so much work to be done on aging infrastructure that needs every level of skill. Shovel ready right? Except we need to actually do it. And what about the ones that refuse to participate? Such a slippery slope. Sorry to ramble, I just think about this, maybe too much. California is a beautiful state (I don't go there anymore) I pray for your efforts and we all know God Wins. The problem with all these shovel ready jobs and low cost housing is the millions of Mexicans and Hondurans, etc whom are filling every nook and cranny. The opportunities are being smothered by and overabundance of unskilled labor.
The only programs I have seen work for these homeless is charity like a Church group home get them back into society. In group help. The government programs are ineffective and full of graft.
It's so unfortunate, but you nailed it on the head with both, cheap labor and graft. I think we are making progress on the graft out of the gov. Although, both of those issues could fall under the graft. I think shovel ready could work with plenty of resources for housing and training (on the job and making money) if we took the illegal employment market. We can dream. They could have a merit based employment program with future citizenship to deal with the illegals. But the gov would have to also go after the companies that are abusing low wage labor.
Its a beautiful state my whole life has been here. However its been hell trying to find a hospital that hires non vaxed. Been out lf work for almost 7 months now. Un able to work, fired from another. Looking into Florida but significant other of scared of the hurricanes. Deffinatly wouldn't miss the CA bullshit, and would vote hard conservatives in Florida.
Good point. Have no clue how to deal witht with them so would have to learn some stuff, but id assume normal stuff. Boarding up windows, food, water, fuel.
Moved to St Augustine from San Diego years ago. Due to idiosyncrasies of jet stream, this area (NE Florida) rarely gets hit with hurricanes like you'd see on the news. The jetstream forces them 60 miles off shore and the worst we get is a glancing blow.
Hmm thanks a bunch will deffinatly look into it, so far looks like a cool city. Would need to check out the school's since i have little ones, hoping to get a good school district.

Personally I think the actual rebuild will have to wait until the country is fixed, but that doesn't mean we can't plant some seeds now.

Hurricanes aren't as bad as earthquakes. You prep for them and have an exit strategy. They just don't show up one day either; we see them coming.

Yes, pay attention to road closures and try to get out of town before everyone else to avoid traffic on the highways.
Make friends with a seasoned local or a church that will help give you tips.
Remember to inform and bully any Left leaning coworkers in your new home.
