Nice try, the Bible was Canonized before Rome. Dr Dan Wallace, Dr James White are just some people who actually have knowledge on textual criticism/transmission.
Paul suffered immensely for no reason according to you.
Paul suffered immensely according to Paul, and according to the Catholics. Christ said false prophets would fool even the elect. Paul was teaching idolatry, pure and simple. He just made Jesus into the idol this time.
Paul was actually the ONLY Apostle to the Gentiles. The others went to the Jews around the area. Peter went to Babylon. If it were not for Paul bringing the Gospel to the Western provinces, the Gospel would have taken much longer to spread.
A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still. Only God can give you insight and grant repentance to those that have faith in Jesus. Weather you believe Paul was an Apostle or not is your business but to accuse one of God's anointed might be a bad thing in His eyes. IMO
Pro_30:10 Accuse not a servant unto his master, lest he curse thee, and thou be found guilty.
First and Second Peter? Hebrews? 1, 2 and 3 John? Do they reek as well?
You support Luke's gospel, but cringe at his book of Acts? interesting perspective.
This is how the jesuits have decided to go about it now, after just simply killing Bible Believers became illegal. Now they have to discredit the Holy Bible. I'll bet you they already have something to replace it with too.
Great write up. I see you ruffled the same feathers. People love their Paul. They love the easy doctrine he taught. I've never heard a Christian quote the Sermon on the Mount. That would suggest they need to actually live a certain way. They always yack about how works don't matter. Pretty convenient if you ask me. Kind of like setting up a golden idol. Well, Jesus sure seemed to think our actions mattered, so I'm sticking with that.
haven't studied the Bible enough to know whether you're on the right track, but I do know Jesus had a reason for layering his message/speaking in parables, so what you're saying doesn't seem completely out of the question, Jesus knew there were vipers everywhere. he had to be careful with his message, like Q...
your theory could also be why there is so much common material between Matthew and Luke; almost like a 'code' waiting to be uncovered by the reader. & the common material happens to be called the Q-Source.
John 1 KJV 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
This should tell you all that you need to know about how important God's Word is to Him and us. He made Himself man so that He could tell us directly. Our salvation depends entirely on us knowing the path back to our Creator, and knowing how much He loves us, it is almost incomprehensible to think that people believe he would mislead us in anyway. This isn't the government or some psychopath lawyer we're taking about here, this is the One True and Holy God.
Besides which, He used worse people than Paul to accomplish His Will in the Old Testament. Have faith, would ya?
thanks for the link and oh yes, I definitely have faith in God and Jesus:) just trying to find my way around the Bible/chatting with you guys as I go.
so far, studying the NT first makes the most sense to me.
to find out what Jesus said, and go from there.
so i know I need to read all the books of the Bible, but want to study only the 'words of Jesus' first to get the main idea.
that being said, and from what I can remember from Catholic Church, the Jesus I'm reading about is a lot different than what I was taught.
Purge your mind of what ever the catholics taught. I am not being hateful, I am not discriminatory, I am simply trying to show you what it took me many years to discover. Understand, the catholics are in it for the catholics, not for you.
First read the Gospel of John all the way through. It is very important that it is the King James Version (hear the heretics screeching.) These are the most beautiful words that have ever been written.
no offense taken, I've always understood Catholicism has some 'issues'. would question the priest when I was a young child, that didn't go over too well.
and yes, I'll start focusing on John. have heard good things about the book, thanks for the link:)
Perhaps that is why Jesus said no one shall “add to or take away from the gospel”. I have felt deeply in my heart lately that we are not reading the Bible the way Jesus intended it, but only a feeling.
This post is utter cringe. Paul spread the gospels to people across the world.
Nice try, the Bible was Canonized before Rome. Dr Dan Wallace, Dr James White are just some people who actually have knowledge on textual criticism/transmission.
Paul suffered immensely for no reason according to you.
Nice try? Ok.
It's pretty evident you don't have a clue what you are talking about.
Uh huh.
Paul suffered immensely according to Paul, and according to the Catholics. Christ said false prophets would fool even the elect. Paul was teaching idolatry, pure and simple. He just made Jesus into the idol this time.
" said false prophets would fool even the elect" Mat 24:24 ... if possible, even the elect.
Ergo, it isn't possible, because they are elect.
"He just made Jesus into the idol this time."
Yeshua is God the Son in the Flesh... Wth are you talking about?
That's what I'm talking about. Your Paulinian gospel. I don't buy it. I buy the one talked about in the other books I mentioned.
Paul was actually the ONLY Apostle to the Gentiles. The others went to the Jews around the area. Peter went to Babylon. If it were not for Paul bringing the Gospel to the Western provinces, the Gospel would have taken much longer to spread.
"The gospel" according to Paul, wasn't the gospel at all, imo.
A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still. Only God can give you insight and grant repentance to those that have faith in Jesus. Weather you believe Paul was an Apostle or not is your business but to accuse one of God's anointed might be a bad thing in His eyes. IMO

There’s several .win channels much more suitable for your topic. Posting this here is board sliding.

Lolol…
And what exactly is it that offends you?

And the thief on the cross?
Luke 23:43 KJV And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.
What works did he have?

Jesus Christ came as the Word of God
John 1 KJV 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

I promise you that God will lead you to where you need to go, after this. Believe in Him, trust in Him, follow Him.
Matthew 11 KJV
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
