To be fair, Gaetz (and I am a fan of his) is using him as a punching bag and publicly ridiculing the fact that this guy SHOULD be investigating it yet the entity that is the FBI sees fit and is structured as such that he isn't investigating it and most likely cannot investigate it.

I would hazard a guess that this guy institutionally has no power to investigate Hunter's laptop even if he wanted to and no more than he could have forced Strozk and others to do his bidding on any matter either over the will of their masters.

This isn't a knock against Gaetz, just pointing out what we are seeing. The Cyber Chief isn't looking for Hunter's laptop so you can't say he can't find it.
