Why is he saying it’s too late for silver?
Probably because it is selling so fast
Supply is apparently really short... Dealers are having extended shipping delays, at least from recent videos
Last I checked, it was 365 paper shares to 1oz physical silver.. Hope you all have physical.
Perhaps that is why they've been able to keep the price so low?
The silver comment caught me as well. I am inclined to say the spot price does not reflect this and that silver is still readily available on many online ordering sites. However, at closer glance spot is down $3 roughly from this same time last year yet purchase premiums have not reflected the spot price drop as they have remained constant. Even more so with silver eagles and more popular coins. Prolly can’t touch one of those under $38 even though spot is hovering around $24. Every extra dollar of mine each month has been going towards secondary market 10oz bars and junk silver. Anything leftover from that goes to 1 gram gold bars. I now have pounds. Take heed.
Another idea is this. Whenever currency is exchanged for a new one, they never exchange coinage because of the cost. So if we went to a gold-based currency and prices rolled back to 1913 levels, the exchange rate would be approximately 100 old dollars for 1 new dollar. That means all of your coins would be suddenly worth 100 times more. So I have a crapload of coins. I also have pre-1982 copper pennies and nickels, because of the current high melt value. But that may change if we go to a gold standard.
Most of the silver coins etc...that were available are gone, in our hands 😀
Are coins or bars better???
For day to day purchasing the smaller the coin, the better (there are as small as 1/10th oz available). No one is going to give you change for a 1kg bullion bar.
I went with coins simply because they aren’t made anymore, what ever you like, can afford as you’ll be holding and can find that’s reasonable in cost.
I have no idea, but maybe he'll elaborate in a future video.
