Don’t sell yourself short ! I am not very good either - the app is great because it has practice scenarios, educational sections , quick games (timed) Against competitors from all around the world - After 6 or 7 matches the computer knows your skill level amd matches you with similar skill set opponents - try it ! Hope you are well fren ! If you ever make it to louisville KY look me up and we will play in person - cheers !

As discussed in the article, the word "gambit" is interesting.

Gambit: a chess opening in which a player risks one or more pawns or a minor piece to gain an advantage in position.

The suggestion is that the White House was sacrificed to gain a positional advantage.
