He was not limp wristed, he was a buff carpenter who whipped the shit out of all the money changers in the temple. He cursed the tree that bore no fruit. Mentioned that if anything doesn’t bear fruit or bears evil fruit will be thrown in the fires.
He was not a pacifist. He told his followers to buy swords. The only time he softens is when to teach or to reach a particular individual that he sees good in that only God can see. Otherwise he’s condemning people left and right in the Bible though no always explicit and even sometimes through parables.
I think He was trying warn the nation as a whole not to reject Him as the long foretold Messiah. Condemnation would come after they knowingly rejected Him.
