I fight with this same issue. I want them to pay for their crimes, but not with Eternity. I'd be good with their punishment being 1,000,000 years in Hell though.
They either go to hell or get to be with the creator.
Hell isn’t a place, it’s an emotional condition when your spirit is released from your physical body, only to realize that you’re tainted and the creator rejects you for all eternity.
That is tough: I just keep telling myself "there for the grace of God go I". Praying for someone's salvation is an act of love, will have to suffice for me.
I don't pity any of them, but it is my Christian duty to pray they repent.

Hell is forever, but there are some Christian universalists who believe you eventually get out. We can check on that later.
