When it comes to SCOTUS, the states do have the power to amend the constitution to add term limits or number of vote requirements in for confirmation in the Senate.
But our form of government may be superior to the parliamentary system, because we have checks and balances.
Because we do not have a parliamentary form of government.

The constitution is short, and explains it well. Any federal officeholder can be impeached. States have their own rules for their elected officials.
But all in all, while the no-confidence thing looks good in the short run, I'm still glad we're not Pakistan.
