While areas like Melitopol, Kherson etc got liberated within days, areas like Kharkiv and Mariupol seemingly did not make progress for weeks. This is especially true for Mariupol. Every inch of the city was held my Azovs holding civilian hostages and as they started liberating all the areas, it became clear that Azovstal plant was the final stronghold.
Considering this is a factory and not a residential area, one would wonder why Russians didnt just vaporise the whole building, and what they have been waiting while attacking so cautiously ?
We have to look at another related rumour about Azovstol - "The Hole". Apparently the deadliest bioweapons lab where they conducted human experimentation. Okay, we didnt pay much attention to it when it first dropped, rightly so, because it sounded outrageous.
But does the puzzle image starts looking clearer when we put all these seemingly hard to believe rumours?

What if they never expected Russians to take over Mariupol because they believed they had other leverage over Putin?
