I read a long time ago that birth control is easy...something to do with a woman's navel...and there are many plants that can and were used before Rockefeller industrial complex. No woman wants to use abortion ..the emotional damage and guilt is a terrible burden.
This. The best way to eliminate abortions is to eliminate the need for them. The government shouldn't be involved in this decision at all, in my opinion. Providing a culture, values, and abundant resources for birth control would eliminate the need for abortions.
You are so right..the government totally controls and needs to get out of people's lives . We don't need that many government officials to run a country
Exactly, this is so correct. Since when has telling teenagers to not do something (sex) ever actually stopped teenagers from doing it? They're full of hormones and new emotions and sensations. There a very huge biological urge to act on those sensations at that age. Best thing to do is to educate them with the right info and provide good resources for birth control in order to avoid unwanted pregnancy. Teens are going to make their own choices and actions, not to mention after 18. Like I said, I agree with you, that it's best to give biologically accurate sex Ed and for there to be easy access to birth control for the population to avoid unwanted pregnancy at any age really. These strategies have been shown to reduce teenage pregnancy, which helps avoid abortions, as does readily available birth control for the public even if someone can't pay.
I read nowhere in the Bible where God calls us to “control” which children are born to us.
If humanity at large didn’t abuse sexual intercourse there wouldn’t be unwanted pregnancies.
Nothing new under the sun.
The Bible also instructs on how to perform an abortion with a priest. The woman must submit to the abortion done by the priest if the husband claims she was unfaithful to him. Clearly God is ok with abortion in at least some instances.
Numbers 5:11-22
New International Version
The Test for an Unfaithful Wife
11 Then the Lord said to Moses, 12 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘If a man’s wife goes astray and is unfaithful to him 13 so that another man has sexual relations with her, and this is hidden from her husband and her impurity is undetected (since there is no witness against her and she has not been caught in the act), 14 and if feelings of jealousy come over her husband and he suspects his wife and she is impure—or if he is jealous and suspects her even though she is not impure— 15 then he is to take his wife to the priest. He must also take an offering of a tenth of an ephah[a] of barley flour on her behalf. He must not pour olive oil on it or put incense on it, because it is a grain offering for jealousy, a reminder-offering to draw attention to wrongdoing.
16 “‘The priest shall bring her and have her stand before the Lord. 17 Then he shall take some holy water in a clay jar and put some dust from the tabernacle floor into the water. 18 After the priest has had the woman stand before the Lord, he shall loosen her hair and place in her hands the reminder-offering, the grain offering for jealousy, while he himself holds the bitter water that brings a curse. 19 Then the priest shall put the woman under oath and say to her, “If no other man has had sexual relations with you and you have not gone astray and become impure while married to your husband, may this bitter water that brings a curse not harm you. 20 But if you have gone astray while married to your husband and you have made yourself impure by having sexual relations with a man other than your husband”— 21 here the priest is to put the woman under this curse—“may the Lord cause you to become a curse[b] among your people when he makes your womb miscarry and your abdomen swell. 22 May this water that brings a curse enter your body so that your abdomen swells or your womb miscarries.”
That interpretation is a stretch at best. Check out how the word that the NIV decided to translate as womb in vs. 21 is translated elsewhere. Additionally the choice of miscarriage only makes sense in the context of the aforementioned mistranslation.
You are correct that in KJV, verse 21 only uses the word "bowels" alone instead of "womb miscarry" like in this NIV translation. But here is an ESV translation that also says it will make the "womb swell" indicating that the "curse" is supposed to affect the woman's womb.
It's clear from multiple translations that it's not just in the "belly" or "abdomen," but the effects of the curse are supposed to affect the potentially unfaithful wife's "womb." I'm sure other of the many translations of the Bible also use similar terms to describe this prescribed abortion. If an unfaithful women has a curse put on her to affect her womb, it's not going to be a good thing. This is the rules of how to potentially initiate an abortion if the man claims he thinks his wife is unfaithful, even if there's no witnesses to substantiate such claims.
I would rather see the Parents aborted than the babies. The parents kill the babies, the parents are no more valuable than the child, not to me. I guess EQUAL rights bother you.
I was being callous on purpose.

Women need safe birth control

Make chaperones and marriage for being caught in compromising positions with opposite sex great again

God doesn't say anything!! You read words in a book that says God said..how?
Much better to do your own thinking than live your life being inauthentic
Are you seriously equating pregnancy with how many times sex happens?
Gut the Hos. How about that.
You don't belong on this site with that remark!

Do you not think a large element is the parents have no self worth so wouldn't think their offspring was either?
