Probably depends on where it was manufactured. China, for instance, probably still uses lead paint. As for paint in the USA, since 1978 it's been lead free.
My concern is on what’s coming in now from China. I believe they make some pet foods. I remember some toys were recalled several years ago. We’ve got to take manufacturing back! Also our country needs safer stricter laws on toxins in everything!
I agree. They make a lot of things like dishes and glasses that we eat and drink from. So many things, if you stop to think about it. I've purchased things on amazon that I had to send back due to the smell being so overwhelming and frankly, toxic smelling. I wouldn't be surprised.
I'm in mid 40s and I'm guessing my mom probably got this stuff for a wedding present before I was born, so it would possibly contain lead. I think I'll take them out of service just to be safe. Thanks
