Actually, nicotinic receptors are in your body for Niacin. Niacin and Nicotine are almost identical.
"Niacin was originally called nicotinic acid because it can be created by the oxidation of nicotine with nitric acid. However, people knew nicotine as the addictive chemical in tobacco, so the name niacin was used instead. Niacin comes from the words NIcotinic ACid vitamIN."
Just an interesting FYI
Some people claim Niacin helps reduce Nicotine cravings, wondering out loud if Niacin may be helpful with Covid.
Just read up on it a little bit. Smoking menthol gives a higher intake of nicotine, which goes along with this study. I switched to menthol as soon as they suggested banning because I don’t believe a word these agencies say anymore. Lol. Feel great! Canada, New Jersey, and IiRC Delaware have banned menthols. Also vapes, which I think help block the coof was also suggested to be banned.
I guess I’ll light up another cigar. I got covid and was I’ll for one day. Others I knew got sick for weeks. No masks, no bullshit quarantines. Get covid, live on.
Makes sense, low-dose stimulants have a number of frequently overlooked benefits for certain respiratory ailments. They act as bronchodilators (opens up your throat a bit more) hence their initial use in treating allergies/sinus-related symptoms when they first hit the markets in the 40's(???). They also dry out congestion amongst other things.
I know four pretty heavy smokers who all had COVID badly. All four of them were down for 10+ days with high fevers, body aches, and one of them still can't eat certain foods anymore because they taste rotten.
Meanwhile, all four of their non smoker wives had COVID for about three days.

Yes Niacin is great for your heart !!
I think I did see some minor mention of niacin helping recovery/detox. Worth pursuing.
Remember when they banned menthol cigs right away?
I remember they were talking about it, did that get passed? Never had any trouble finding them & buying them at gas stations in my state.

Not a methhead here but there was a study showing meth having a preventative effect as well, against it replicating in lung cells

Just another little surprise showing how poorly or diabolically planned this virus/vaccine was, depending on how charitable you feel. ACE receptors was bad enough as it affected the cardiovascular system. Nicotine receptors affect the nervous system. Now we can understand all the weird neuro side effects. Here's an instructional paper, all you need to know about why this is a very big deal. https://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/csem/cholinesterase-inhibitors/nicotinic.html#:~:text=1%20A%20key%20function%20of%20nicotinic%20receptors%20is,are%20discussed%20later%29.%20Weakness%20and%20paralysis.%20Sweating.%20
