They call that “democracy” Ukraine is supposed to be ac Democratic State yet, journalists and media that speak against Zelenskyy are arrested and closed down. The opposition leader and its members are arrested for no apparent reason and Azoz, the Nazi arm of its military torture and kills people. This is democracy our Gov is trying to protect and send arms and money to. Aussie Gov is doing this as well in case anyone questions Australia’s political allegiance.

Russia still persecutes journalists that go against the state narrative plenty. It's one reason Russian state media is the biggest sources of media, in order for the Russian state to push whatever lines they want that will support their endeavors. Journalists who go against such things are targeted. So it's not like Russia is any better honestly.
