Agreed, but how will you win over the atheist/agnostic crowd? You and I may know what you say to be true, but forcing it upon others who have to discover God themselves will only make them retaliate/shut down.
Spirituality for me was rejected in my youth, and only strengthened when I found my way back on my own terms.
I certaintly do not wish to force God on anyone. It is a decision they have to make themselves.
However, their salvation is more important than a reprieve for me here on Earth. So I will continue to speak what I believe to be the truth in that God is the only solution to spiritual sickness.
If one is looking for a "halfway point" to appeal more directly to atheists / agnostics and helps them start down the journey I would present the following:
You can see the evil in the world and know that it is so.
Seek a solid foundation that you may not be deceived.
Seek the truth with all your heart and mind.
Why do you believe what you believe?
Seek love for all people. It is better for an evil person to recant than die.
Where did we come from? Take it all the way back step by step.
Is there more than naturalism (chemicals in brain)?
Where does morality come from?
Why does anything matter?
Listen to people standing in courage and carefully consider what they have to say.
Be brave, form your own conclusions.
Beautifully said.
There's no "winning them over." Tell them "you leave me alone, I leave you alone," that's about it. You don't need to make the sign of the cross to believe that taxation is theft, Epstein didn't kill himself, Trump won, and pedophiles should be castrated after a fair trial.
That's what we're doing now, and it's gotten us to where we are.
Is there anything to fix?
