Something that I always found odd was that on the public record of mod logs, it always just says "a moderator ____" but it won't reveal which mod did what. Why is that? Is there a reason why the public can't know which mod did what? Is there no functionality on the mod end that tells them which mods did what? A mod once said he couldn't find out who banned ExpertBread, and yet then he stated that he asked the banning mod ("our most active mod") why he banned Bread, and the answer was "herp derp i can't remember", which reveals two things: the aforementioned mod certainly could find out which mod did the banning, and lied about not knowing, and apparently mods could just ban without giving a reason, or the banning mod was lying about "not remembering" why... of course all of this could just have been made up to further confuse and deter questions being asked... who knows? We certainly don't know. Can't know. The site has very little transparency when it comes to the actions of mods...
I think these are all fair questions... Who owns the site? Who pays the bills? Who has ultimate power over the mods? Why is there little transparency about any of this? I've always found it interesting that Facebook will not let you post or message links to GAW using that platform. They claim the website is a violation of their user rules because of "violence" and other bullshit. It's as if "people" don't want this place to be advertised in the mainstream, don't want traffic here... who doesn't want the visibility and why?
This is all just very... mysterious... to say the least.
