I think Ricky Gervais was trying to tell us something in his movie “The Invention of Lying”. It was pitched as a comedy set in an alternate reality. Well, it really was a documentary set in our own reality.
He comes up with the idea of lying at a bank, a fucking BANK, that creates money literally out of thin air. (fractional reserve banking) Get it? He’s creating money out of thin air, just like a bank.
