Yup. This is the plot of 'Soylent Green'. Charlton Heston with a .50 cal on his house shooting at Anthony Zerbe and his starving friends.

I only vaguely remember the movie. Basically just him screaming "Soylent Green is people!" at the end.

I just looked up the plot to remind myself of the details and saw it's set in 2022.

At least we seem to have dodged that bullet. 😁
