This guy popped up out of nowhere for me, who is he, why does he matter, and how is all the recent news about him not totally fake and gay?

He has a YouTube channel that has been red pilling people for several years now, mostly aimed at young men and making them into better men. It's not a big flashy channel full of "Big things happening this week!" kind of bullshit, so it doesn't get as many views as other channels that constantly pump out the bullshit hopium.

The YouTube channel was called Coach Red Pill.

Honestly, he's a pretty significant figure in the awakening for many "normies" that don't hang out here. For instance, all of my five younger brothers watch him, but none of them visit this site.

Coach red pill (Gonzola Lira) videos on relationships helped guide me through one of the darkest moments of my life. I’m glad to hear he’s ok.

Spez: he started posting videos about the Zelensky regime and all hell broke lose. I believe most of his “relationship coaching” videos have been set to private. Most likely due to the backlash from the feminist camp. He’s very smart. I was pretty surprised to hear he’d put himself into such a precarious situation in Ukraine.
