If he claims to be a serving officer, that implicates his government in an act of war. His best option is to sing like a canary in order to defer execution.

More than 2 extraction attempts:
2 helicopter attempt (4 or more copiers taken down)
2 ship attempts failed
1 ground infantry attempt with 200 soldiers plus armored vehicles etc. Failed.
Ahhh only heard about the heli extractions, thanks. Seems like someone wants people out of the place badly.
